01. What the Project Is

This project is a bespoke, media-centric portfolio application engineered for Bal Kashi Gurung, a renowned multi-talented artist based out of Pokhara, Nepal. Active in the entertainment space for over 9 years, her career covers contributions across cinema, music videos, and documentaries. Recently, she has also transitioned into a professional golfing career. The platform serves as a centralized digital workspace designed to curate and broadcast her artistic media and sports achievements simultaneously.

02. Why Technical Choices Were Made

Having accumulated nearly a decade of industry recognition, the client required a modern digital migration to expand her audience accessibility. We needed a system capable of handling media-rich lookbooks and high-fidelity video embeddings without sacrificing loading speeds. We chose React for its single-page application (SPA) architecture, enabling instantaneous route transitions. To elevate the visual premium, we built a custom typographical identity for her branding using a font-based logo configuration utilizing the Cinzel decorative typeface.

03. How It Was Implemented

The site layout was planned through detailed component layout passes in Figma before being translated into React blocks. To capture the elegant cadence required for a high-profile artist portfolio, we integrated the Framer Motion animation framework. This allowed us to build custom asynchronous component entries and fluid scroll-bound visibility triggers. The configuration is rounded out with a streamlined, zero-friction contact gateway, making her portfolio accessible to prospective international production teams and tournament viewers.
